We have a variety of resources and services to help VDOT employees studying for the PE, PMP and other exams. Some are online, some are in print. In addition, we have an Interlibrary Loans program so we can probably borrow resources you need if we don't have them.  Finally, we are able to purchase items in some cases if the need seems great enough to warrant it.

Records for E-books in the Library Catalog will have a note that says "Electronic resource."  Some of our E-books (notably items in the Skillsoft Books database) can be accessed online only (not downloaded), however, VDOT employees can do that from an iPad as long as they have a library card and an active Internet connection.

In other cases (notably items in the EBSCO EngineeringCore and EBSCO BusinessCore databases) we have E-books that you can actually download to an iPad or eBook reader so that the content is truly portable.

For questions on how to access collections from devices not connected to the VDOT network (like your home computer, tablet or Smartphone) contact Ken Winter, 434-962-8979
