There is free parking in the lot behind the Virginia Transportation Research Council (VTRC) but it is first-come-first serve. There are a handful of visitor parking spaces in the front of the building but we recommend you try the back lot and walk up to the front reception area.

Visitors arriving before 10:00 a.m. or after 3:00 p.m. tend to have the most parking options.

Should all parking spaces at VTRC be taken, visitors can use UVA's PARKMOBILE metered parking service.

The most convenient metered parking to is near the Slaughter Recreation Center but requires a short uphill walk to the Shelburne building along a road with no sidewalks.

General visitor parking information for UVA can be found at the University's Visitor Parking web site.
