Q. Does the VDOT Research Library buy textbooks?

While we do provide a selection of study materials for the PE, FE, EIT exams (and while we do own some printed textbooks and have some licenses for eBook versions of some textbooks), as a general rule, we do NOT purchase textbooks as a normal part of our collection development plan.

We encourage all of our patrons in their diverse educational pursuits, and provide a number of resources and services to support them along the way. Unfortunately, buying textbooks or general course materials is outside of the scope of what we are able to offer individual patrons.

However, if you have a question and are unsure about a particular request, please don’t hesitate to ask.
