You've got many options for contacting the library with your question, depending on the time of day, day of week, if you are a VDOT employee or not, what you need to know and how "self directed" you want to be. Sound confusing?  It's not! Here are your options:

I like searching on my own!

  1. Check out our Web site: http://library.virginiadot.org/home  (Employees on the VDOT network only...)
  2. Search our FAQ database: http://virginiadot.libanswers.com/
  3. See holdings in our library catalog: http://v92004.eos-intl.net/V92004/
  4. Use subscription databases: https://vdot.idm.oclc.org (Employees on the VDOT network or using a Virtual Library Card)

I want the library to do the legwork!

  1. Call us: 434-293-1902 (8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Mon.-Fri., excluding state holidays...)
  2. E-mail us: Library@VDOT.virginia.gov
  3. Fill out a online question form: http://virginiadot.libanswers.com/ask
  4. Contact your favorite librarian: https://library.virginiadot.org/about/staff
  5. Text us: 434-363-4736
