Yes. However, effective 5-8-2023 access to ASTM Compass is being facilitated by Single Sign On (SSO) using Okta and your VDOT network credentials.

This means that any VDOT employee who has already logged in to the VDOT network who clicks on a link to ASTM Compass should be immediately recognized (due to their initial VDOT network login) and allowed in to Compass.

Return Users: VDOT users should now bypass the requirement to enter a separate ASTM Compass username and password. They should also bypass the initial "click through" agreement and simply enter the database. In fact, you should even see that you are recognized "by name" in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. This should work for all VDOT employees who have used Compass before.

First-Time Users: Employees who have never used ASTM Compass before will have an account created for them "on the fly" the first (and only the first) time they click on a link to enter Compass. For VDOT personnel on the network Okta will detect and pre-populate the user's profile fields for e-mail address and agency. All you need to do is enter your first and last name and click "save" as shown below.

NOTE: New users will only see this screen once: The very first time they access ASTM Compass via Okta.

First-time users will be prompted review the ASTM License "click through" Agreement. Once you click "Agree and Continue" you will enter ASTM Compass where you have unlimited access to full-text materials in VDOT's subscription. Users will typically not see the ASTM License agreement again.
