Yes, there are somewhere between 30-60 eBooks published by ICE that are available in full text in other library subscriptions, particularly in Knovel (which has most of them), but also in Skillsoft Books and EBSCO eBooks.

Due in part to the fact that VDOT is already paying for access to those eBooks through other databases, we were reluctant to pay a second time in our subscription to the ICE Virtual Library solely out of convenience.

Unfortunately, unlike most of the other publishers we have subscriptions with, ICE has no way to only show us items we subscribe to.  However, we are sympathetic and we know library users just want to find and use the resources, so here's our best advice: If you find a interesting book or conference proceeding that was published by ICE see wording in the ICE Virtual Library that says  "your subscription does not provide access to this content" you still have options:

1. Look up the title in our Online Catalog and if we have it anywhere else the catalog will lead you to it.

2. If you still can't find it, we may not have a subscription, but we can still borrow a copy for you! Simply fill out this Online Request Form
