Each eBook collection may have different restrictions on what you can do with it and those restrictions are typically set by publishers, not by the vendor (in this case EBSCO).

For EBSCO eBooks, users can typically print, download, save or e-mail up to 100 pages from any eBook title. In a few instances, some titles may not allow for printing, downloading or saving to the extent of 100 pages.  Some may not allow it at all or may allow fewer pages. If you have reached your limit, the option to print or save eBook pages will be temporarily unavailable.

Under no circumstances should you attempt to systematically download or print eBooks!  EBSCO monitors all accounts for such activity.

Printing: If you are printing from an EBSCO eBook, up to 100 pages of a title can be printed per user in PDF format. Note: If you have downloaded an EBSCO eBook and are viewing it in Adobe Digital Editions, eBook pages can be printed by going to the File menu and selecting Print. All publisher-specified page printing limits are enforced through Digital Editions.

Downloading: When reading an eBook in the EBSCO eBook Viewer, you have the option of downloading eBook chapters to your computer or device as PDFs.
Note: Depending on individual publisher permissions, downloading of eBook pages/chapters may not be available for some EBSCO eBook titles.

E-mail a citation: You can e-mail a citation (including a link) leading another VDOT staffer to the full text of the eBook.  Open the eBook in the eBook Full Text viewer and select "Cite" to copy/paste the full cite into an e-mail, or click on "Permalink" to see the "permanent link" to the eBook.

Saving Pages: Open the eBook in the eBook Full Text viewer and select the "Save PDF" button.

E-mail Saved Pages: Open the eBook in the eBook Full Text viewer and select "E-mail pages" Fill out the online form indicating who you want to send the pages to and select "Email PDF" You can share this with yourself or any VDOT employee without copyright constraints, but please note EBSCO's warnings (stamped on PDF copy) regarding reproduction and permissions.

VDOT employees should remember that they have unlimited 24/7/365 access to all eBooks in the EBSCO eBooks collection, even when other employees are using the same titles.  If you want to share parts of an eBook with another VDOT employee you can always e-mail the citation to a friend, or send them the "permalink" which will lead them directly to the book, which they can use indefinitely.
