The library has many editions (and many copies!) of what is commonly referred to as the “Green Book.”

The Green book is the reference manual published by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) under the title “Policy on Geometric Design of Highways and Streets.”

The geometric design of roads is the branch of highway engineering concerned with the positioning of the physical elements of the roadway according to standards and constraints, and the "Green Book" is considered by most to be the preeminent U.S. guide to highway and street design. 

The most current edition of the Green Book is the 7th Edition, which was published in 2018. The library has multiple copies in print as part of our PE Exam Study Collections.
