VDOT now has a one-stop phone number and online Web Portal to help residents get fast and accurate answers to general questions like: 

  • How do I request a road repair?
  • How do I get debris removed from a road?
  • How do I get a sign, signal, or guardrail repaired?
  • How do I request a new sign or traffic device be installed?
  • How do I get information about the status of a VDOT project?
  • How can I report an issue with a sidewalk or pedestrian bicycle path?
  • How can I submit a claim (includes mailbox damage)?
  • How can I submit a compliment for a job well done?

Virginia residents can submit their inquiry to the VDOT Customer Service Center at: https://my.vdot.virginia.gov/ or call: 1-800-367-7623 (800-FOR-ROAD) if they want to speak to someone in person. The VDOT Customer Service Center is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
