In a word, yes!
New functionality as of August 2022 allows VDOT employees searching the Engineering Village database to simultaneously search the Knovel engineering eBook database. That 2-for-1 deal is possible because both resources are from vendor Elsevier. Here's what you now see when you start a search in Engineering Village:
If you check the Knovel database option in addition to Compendex (as shown above) you'll search both databases at the same time. When you find an item indexed in Compendex that is part of Knovel, you can navigate directly to it by clicking the "View in Knovel" button, which looks like this:
It is helpful to be able to find and link to Knovel content from Compendex, but of course you may prefer the Knovel search interface for your Knovel searches? That interface is covered in our Knovel Quick Start Guide.
Note: Right now, about 2,800 eBooks from VDOT's Knovel subscription can be found in Compendex, but you may find other Knovel eBooks that are not part of VDOT's subscription. Clicking on such an item will reveal a message that looks like this:
