Q. Why are some databases asking me to log in? I thought I did already?

That’s a good question! Although our remote authentication service allows Virtual Library Card holders to access our subscription databases from anywhere, some of our vendors require that their database have an additional login process to comply with their rules. Databases that require a second registration and login are:

1. ASTM Compass
2. Books 24x7
3. Knovel

Note: Please make sure to use your VDOT email address as your username when registering for these databases. That’s how our databases know we’re from VDOT!
